New to blogging

So I have decided to become a blogger......I think the main reason is that I need to be able to get some things out of my head and being a single mom of five kids, it's difficult not having someone to talk to. I read lots of blogs and keep thinking man I should do this. So here we go.
About me:
I am a single mom.....by choice. In 2010 I decided to become a foster parent. It has been an awesome journey thus far and I've decided to start "recording" parts of it. Of course since my children are all in foster care I won't mention names or anything that identifies them. However they are an awesome bunch. I currently have a 7 year old who I will refer to as Mr. Careful because he tries so hard to be careful to follow all the rules so he doesn't get in trouble. He's only been with me a couple of weeks. My next oldest is 5. I will refer to him as Talking Jack because he can talk 90 to nothing and barely stops for pauses. He's been with me since he was 3. My sisters were looking for an off switch as soon as they met him. My next oldest is 4. I will refer to him as Sticky. He obtained this name from my cousin because he went in my cousin's mom's bedroom and took all of her jewelry when he was 2. I got him on his second birthday. My next one is 3 and is the biological sister to the 4 year old. They are 11 months apart so they were both 3 for about a month. She was placed with me in May. I will adopt both of them in November. I will refer to her as Tater because she is the dictator, aggravator, instigator, and agitator in the family. The last one is 21 months. We share a birthday. I got her from the hospital at 4 days old and 5 pounds. I'll refer to her as Snack. She's about as big as a snack but it doesn't stop her at all.
Why Fostering:
I always felt that God had a plan for me and that it included children. I thought I'd be a social worker in child protection. Didn't take but one quarter in college to realize that was not the path. I attended a foster parenting interest meeting in 2007 and filled out all the paperwork in 2008 but it didn't go anywhere. For the next two years I supported mom while she battled breast, ovarian, and brain cancer. She passed in July 2010. I did my paperwork again, attended training in September and my home opened in December. I was supposed to take girls ages 5-10. I was excited.
The journey begins:
In January 2011 I got my first placement and realized it was not the bed of roses I had imagined. Several nights I went to bed in tears. In February I was asked to take an 8 month old. I was hesitant because I love my sleep. He was a doll. I fell in love. When the 10 year old left later that month I changed my age to five and under. This was a GREAT age. In March Talking Jack came. 3 years old, full of energy and TALKING! Lol I had several placements after him 23 to be exact. All ages. Some stayed for weeks, months, or just days. All have been a blessing. In August Sticky came and he was so cute. Snack came in December and everybody loved on her. She loved to wake me up at 2 AM and discuss the current world problems. In 2012 I did not have a lot of placements because I dropped my number from 5 to 3 (that's a story for another time). I had Snack, Talking jack, and sticky for a while. Then in May 2013 Tater came so that she and sticky could be adopted by me and we just had Mr. Careful placed with us a few weeks ago.....bringing me back up to five...good thing I have the pathfinder....or the spaceship as my nephew calls it.
Well this starts my blogging. I think I'm going to enjoy this. An opportunity to talk about whatever I want....whenever I want.....all my funny babies. Pretty cool.
